i just saw this, wouldn't i also have to copy that table to the "angle max limit retard-torque % (load). because that table says it limits the cam retard to the values in the table which for the cells you told me to change are about the same, so wouldnt it now allow a change unless i changed copied your numbers to that table as well?

The knock sensor pid in degrees for the Ford vehicles does not work currenty with the HPT Scanner. It won't show any knock because it is not supported. On GM's it does

IMO VCT tuning at WOT with stock cams is just about a wash power wise. On that note, some cars can't pull more than 8-10* of retard, others will go to 15*, I don't know enough about the inner workings of the system, but seems to be some type of hardware limitation.

There is also a lot you can do at part throttle with VCT tuning.

    7.000 7.580 7.510 10.000 15.000
    2.500 4.000 5.000 11.500 15.000
    2.500 4.000 5.000 11.500 15.000

so those numbers in the bottom right of the VCT table are too much to try? i wanna try it but want to here from you tuners first to make sure it wont hurt anything.

No, try them, what Justin is saying is that some cars even when you command more retard, once datalogged you don't see them retarding that much.

I do but I must say that the few cars I´ve played with that were new and all the cars I had to tune are 07+ that may have better phasers than 05 (there are supposed to be up to 5 different phaser revisions)

You may not get that retard, you may not feel any difference but you won´t break anything testing them.

well i just tried the new tune with those numbers and a few hp on the butt dyno is hard to feel on a 300+whp car but the car doesnt seem to fall off after 6K anymore. it feels as if it pulls strong to 6300-6500 rpms. i will race my bud again and see. (we are dead even till top of my 4th everytime, no matter what race we do).

It takes a lot more horsepower than you think to pull away at the top of 4th where before you were dead even
