Try reading in low speed mode(ie high speed box unchecked)
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Check your battery voltage and that you have no inline modules/tuners plugged in as they are the most common reason for bootloader timeout errors.

I tried doing it with a charger on the truck and still no luck, the truck is all stock. Nothing connected anywhere a/c, radio turned off and still doesnt work.

Make sure you are running the newest public version & that you have an MPVI usb style interface. The only other option would be to read the pcm on a bench harness then if you can't track down what is causing the bootloader issue.

It should work fine if you are running 2.22 or later, I just see too many emails every day of guys trying to run v2.1.14 or something several years old on their 2009 Corvette or something lol.

But yes any recent version will work just fine as the read/write routines haven't changed in a while.

Do you give me any input on what to check on my truck? I read another diesel just fine.

What I posted earlier are the only things I've ever seen to interupt reading, there really isn't much else to check.
