This is a test file I made from my stock 08 Corvette file to verify your recommendations. Please compare this to your file and see if this is what you are referring for changes. Thanks for all the input.

I compared your file to mine and the changes you have made are correct. In torque management you will see torque reduction, set those to disabled.

If ur worried about the longevity of your transmission, you could always leave 50% of TM in.

Unfortunately for our Corvettes TM is either enable or disable. 50% is not a choice.

as far as i know factory is 1.00 which is 100%
    .29 would be 29% left
shift torque factor relates directly to TM

Have you tried this and logged? Would be interesting to see if timing advance drops less but you don't spin your tires at shift.

Hum, that's backwards from what I want to achieve. As I read you are saying is the lower the number (.500 vs. 1.00 for example) the less timing is pulled. If that's the case then a number greater than 1, 1.500 for example, should be programmed. I want timing pulled so I get some TM. With TM disabled you get full timing at shift. I would like to see around 10*+ at shift vs. the even a few negative frames I'm seeing.

try .30 or .25 those should still net u a postive timing but pull some... i think if i remember right with my car at .29 i saw like 7-10 at shift then it would ramp back up..

    1.00 is 100% TM
    .50 would be 50% TM
    .30 would be 30%
    get it?

i logged everywhere from 1.0 to .3 then i removed it totally...

Open the last test file I made in my reply #51 and you can see where I changed the values up though 3-4 only under shift torque factor. Among the other items discussed. That's all that's needed in the 1/4 mile. Have not tried the file yet.

ok make all the shift times the same...
less confusion for the TCM... just pick one and make them ALL the same
make max adapt volume all the same get rid of that 40

Woe! I attached the wrong file on that last. See if this doesn't come closer.

I added my stock file to aid in comparison.

I compared your file again. I got some changes for you to make, go ahead and get rid of the all the shift adders zero them out, if u find any negative numbers leave them. Like 04Blackgmc said, make all the shift times the same, and in the max adapt max make that 40 to 200. Scott Breamer wrote up a very interesting explanation for how the TM works and how to desensitize it.

Yes, good write up Scott has started.

See if this gets all the changes you and 04Blackgmc are suggesting. Personally, I'm mostly interested in up to 3-4 shifting for 1/4 mile. Some might want to go ahead with the taller gears as well. Might be easier on those tall gears to leave stock?
