Have a question on Auto TCC operation on a T48 TCM and 6L80 Trans. An example best explains my question.
2nd gear Apply and Release are set 222 mph
Traveling in 3rd gear with TCC locked (applied) (>35 mph)
Shift down to 2nd gear
Will the TCC go to an unlocked state?

Yes, as soon as the transmission sees you either got WOT or downshift into second it is going to unlock the converter.
