One approach is to send your timing off a cliff at the rpm you want it to shift so that it sees a torque reduction.

There may be others, but this one has been proven to work.

If your using stock dia rear tires, the tire/gear field should be 6.68. Also log the trans output revs.

Then with your 275/40/18 tires, use 6.95 in the tire/gear field.

Do you mean 6.95 in the "Gear" (ratio) field, and leave the tires at 26.7" (275/40/18) for example?

    Thanks!

Hey Russ, how did you calc 6.95?

    I got 7.16 (26.7 / 3.33)?

    Is this correct?

are you sure its the tune and not that trans? sometimes they will bounce off the limiter if the trans is on the way out.

trans is mint man. car has like 30k miles and never raced it shifts perfect except for that i know the tune is out. But i do know that 4l60Es are crap and die easily but this ones still good.
