06 GTO 1/4 mile tune and A/F need better 60'

I’m trying to get the best tune possible for the ¼ and am not sure what to do for my 60’ times I have been hitting 1.98-2.10 (launching at 2800rpm) and have had a 1.90 but the clutch did not like that because I dropped it at about 5000 rpm and it hooked the engine bogged all the way down to 2800 rpm the clutch was slipping and I could smell it after the run. I posted my log and tune if someone could give me some pointers. I was also wondering if my A/F ratio was to lean, I have adjusted it several times and it has went the fastest with this ratio. Also on this day it was hot about 88 degrees. Thanks any help is welcome.

I can't see the AFR, what is it hitting at WOT?

You can't really tune for your launch. I think you may be expecting too much from a virtually stock engine. You will need more horsepower to get the Mickeys to spin a little launching at 5000 rpms, they are not rolling so something has to give up.

Seat time and different launch RPM's will get the 60' lower. Your mph shows you are making good horsepower for that heavy car, you just need to learn to drive the car better to get quicker. Practice more is the best answer.

AFR is 13.2 and what I was wondering is if I richen it up under 3500rpm would it pull harder on take off?

    Launch

This is going back to Carbs and MSD ignitions and all that real old stuff.

Every car is different so don't be afraid of a little expermenting. Since you feel that your 60ft times are off, I would spend some time working on launch technique.

First, you may not be able to clean up the bog without riding the clutch. But since the car is bogging on launch it probably would help to richen it up in the launch rpm range. Don't get carried away as you will be off on optimal power settings. Say 12 to 12.5/1 from 1200 to 4500 and then on to your best hp #s, say 12.9 to 13.1/1 to redline.

For the track I would have a tune just for that and one for getting around town and highway use.
