    2010 Camaro trans tune

    Hi Russ I an trying to firm up the shifts on the new camaro without much success. Can you help? I will up load the file from the car and do you need the new beta version because I do have it. I would appreciate any help at all.

    Here is the stock tune along with a Dyno tuned one. Stock was 323 whp and tuned was 343 whp no cats. 160 stat. Car ran 13.8 stock after tuning runs 13.0. Need to get the shift much crisper.

    I Will Take A Look Tonight Once I Get Home And Compare It To My Stock Tune And My Current Tune.

    I Am Sure There Are Several Parameters That Were Left Alone And It Seems Most Shops Are Having A Hard Time Tuning The 6l80e Due To The Amount Of Parameters It Has Over Previous Generation Gm Transmission.

    There Are Alot That Can Tune The 6l80e Perfectly, But Like My Local Shop When He Saw All Of The New Additional Parameters He About Fell Over.

    Make the changes as shown, and add 60 psi to the base shift pressure > X & Y tables.

    If you what smoother shifts, multiply the stock shift factor cold table by .5 instead of the .25 as shown.

    Russ just asking, but have you tried daily driving a newer GM vehicle with the 6L80E with your recommended settings?

    I tried them and the shift is brutal all of the time, it barks the tires and very minute part throttle inputs on almost every shift.

    Sorry for asking, but with what I have tuned on the 6L80E's so far anything more than 40psi over stock in the main table and 20psi in the base tables and the car will bark the tires on the 1>2, 2>3, and 3>4 shift with no issues and still hit the last two shifts hard as well.

    It runs on 2.23. Save it then open it from My Documents.

    Tuned several 6L80/90E trans this way, the key thing is to set up the torque management exactly the way I mentioned.

    BTW anything over 200psi on a regular basis, WILL cause internal seal failures.

    A good rule of thumb to remember, is to never go over 155psi in 5th and 6th. Never adj. R or N. 180psi in 1-4 is more than enough for a strong dailydriver. 200psi is needed for power adder vehicles. Stock converter starts to experience clutch lockup failure around the 450whp levels.

    Exclamation commodore trans tune

    i was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me where to start in tuning a GM 6L80E trans. its in a VE commodore in australia. it has adn GM LS2 engine with cat back exhaust and shifts like my grandma. any advice would be greatly appreciated !!!

    Thanks Russ. On the X Y tables do I do just 1-2 2-3 3-4 4-5 5-6 or do I do them all. 1-4 2-4 and so on. I will try your trans tune soon and let you know how it works out. I will make sure I turn on back on torque management. Thanks again.

    There are several threads on the A6 or 6L80E. Do a search for either.

    Yes, make the changes to every X & Y shift pressure table.

    Hi everyone I used the settings in this post , all gear changes are 6300

    1to 2 is done on 6750, 2 to 3 at 6450 ...do you have any idea??
