    How Do I Tame a Cold 1-2 Shift ?

I have experimented a little but with no success in getting my 1-2 to shift tamer when the trans is not warmed up.

    Any suggestions?

Not sure if you have it in your file but try looking at "Shift pressure modifier Upshift" You can use either the 1>2 box or the "pressure multiplier" box. The pressure mult is usually filled with 1 (1 times anything=no change). You could like take that to .75 or .85 in the temperature cells where the problem is.

But like I said Im not sure if you have that option.

    Thanks,

Here is what I have in the pressure multiplier. What do you think?

    Nope. Stock is 0.85

But I don't think that will fix his problem. What we need is load referenced line pressure - something these PCMs just don't support

You can have the right shift pressure for WOT, but you will also see that torque on the upward slide of the torque curve - so it makes light throttle harsh

The later 6 speeds have much more control over this

Yes OE it is 0.85, the 0.50 was my experiment. It's back at 0.85 now.
    What about the table below?
Is this the load referenced line pressure speak of?

No - that's not load referenced

A VE - RPM map of line pressures is what Im talking about

THANKS for clarifying- I assumed the one he posted was load referenced too due to the torque value.
