    98 4.3L from S10

can I take out the VATS/pass key in the PCM; like many other platforms?

local is doing a 4.3 into a chevy II and wants to know, do not really want to license the PCM if this can not be done via PCM....

Yep, it's in the system tab. Also the P1626 and P1631 in the DTC's...just in case.

Thanks Jaime! Guy will be happy now...as I quiz him on why a 4.3....when there is a 5.3 or 6.0 out there that would be alot more fun!

No kidding, they're not even that good on gas mileage. At least use a Syclone engine, or something.

Your welcome. Hope it works out.

Well, it was one of those 'other' PCMs that I do not have the ability to do on the bench, do not have the older style connectors for the 'black' PCM so I will go over Sat and communicate with it.

Have a customer that put a 2001 4.3L into a 54 ford 2-door. He just wanted a cruiser, so it works out good for him. Not bad engines, they get decent mileage. Actually a large v6 compared to most others. Nice car he really did a good job on it.
