Thats what he had told me also, I also heard that with the 3bars, that it there is something to be set up to read 300KPA

I might go this route when I get the sensors in, just debating on which one to do?

The scanner will still not read over 255kpa. I have heard somewhere that you can log the Boost Sensor's Voltage and then convert that to PSI with a formula and read true boost in the scanner.

I had read on the hhr forums that the selectatune wouldn't work since hpt cannot see it to change the values, also trifecta wants 200 for the lnf but only 100 for the lsj. idk about you guys, but I definatly don't feel that 200 is very good pricing since you can just get trifecta tuned for 300. my local dealer had told me 250 for a full trifecta tune...

Anyone have a clue to the formula or the voltage range? I added the Boost sensor voltage to my table, I guess I'll log a while and try to figure it out vs. the kPa of the Mani abs pressure.

I was going to do the same, report back with what you get and I'll do the same

Gimpster posted this chart a while ago with the gmpp 3bar sensor range, im sure someone can figure out that forumla now.

    Ugh, math. Dislike.

I figured out for the stock 2.5 BAR you would multiply by 7.25 I believe. I havent tested it yet tho.

    [PID.2339]*7.25

Vince said that he knew the formula, and would tell me how to set it up

Just haven't got back with him

I logged the sensor V on the way in, I'll look at it tonight if I have time.

    2339*5.75 on 3bar's? I'll check later.

4 volts was approx 22.4 psi iirc when I was logging, but my netbook is a little slow at times updating the charts.

Your # seems pretty close at 23 psi for mine anyway.

Then it's probably 5.6. In any case, I'm super bad at math.

Don't you have to subtract 14.5 from the baro sensor in there somewhere? More like pid.2339*8.7-14.5?

We're calculating for atmospheric pressure, not just relative pressure. So we're adding that 14.5 in.

I looked at it tonight and the boost sensor voltage never drops below 1.6x volts so scaled * 5.75 it's close at WOT here, I logged 24.5 in a mid rpm high load pull, close to my analog gauge.

I think we're looking at the pressure to the wg solenoid sensor because I see 9lbs boost at idle and it increases with rpm above that. Once the throttle plate is opened all the way, it and the MAP read about the same afaict.

Make sense to anyone? Subtracting atmosphere would throw it way off across the board.

Yea, I have the RPD and it looks like the sensor used for that, only reads Boost NO vac!! Ive been playing with it as well trying to get it nailed down.

    So far Im using:
    [PID.2339.V]*4.9

Problem is I can log that PID and set it to volts and the voltage responds like normal. But when I try to use the formula I dont get anything close to accurate and its not smooth at all like the MAP. I tried to log [PID.11.V]. Didnt work for me lol. Still playing with it tho

edit: After more playing Im getting what looks like the right boost but it still looks a lil weird. Ill get a screen shot!

Drop the units V out of the formula, doubt it will matter but I left it out. Might be confusing the equation.

Studying the chart Gimp posted, but not able to calculate out the 3 bars here, too old & ignorant.

I tried it eitherway, doesn't seem to change anything. I now have it as:
    [PID.2339]*5

Seems to be matching up pretty good.

What voltage are you seeing when the car is off but the ignition on and at idle?
