HP Tuner 101 question

When you first connect the HP system to a vehicle does it load and display all of the vehicle's current settings (i.e., a vehicle-specific baseline)?

Or does it open with nominal defaults that HP has loaded for that type of vehicle as part of the software (i.e., a generic baseline)?
