HELP - Question - Flashing ECU to diff model.

    Got a question.

I was wondering what the outcome might be for flashing the following:

    2006 VZ Commodore (3.6Ltr V6 - 175kw Alloytech engine, 4 speed auto) with a 2008 VE Omega stock tune (3.6ltr V6 - 180kw Alloytech engine, same gearbox).

Both same same variable intake camshaft, but not exhaust camshaft. VZ does not have traction control but the VE does (neither have info in the tune however).

Both have the same gearbox....... only differences are the VE has slight diff parts...... better dampener for the flywheel? ...... and possibly upgraded computer on the transmission.

Both tunes however have virtually the exact same options in them.

    Give me your thoughts.

PS. The reason I want to be able to do this is........ the newer VE has better axies options, tip in knock settings, remove the Max VE Flow (max torque at open throttle) and to gain the new MAF Calibration setup.

-=- I have heard you can tune the VE's mafless which is not possible with the VZ ECU. This I'm thinking is why the 'Max VE Flow' has been removed and the MAF Calibration stuff changed on the VE.

Please.... I ask for responses from those who may actually have an idea *eg... tuners tuning for many months or ex holden specialists.

Some may say it's a stupid question, I think it's worth getting input on.
