    P1153 and Catalyst (emissions test)

I have put well over 100 miles on my truck and the Catalyst
test still is not ready for emissions testing. I'm way expired.

    Catalyst: Incomplete

When I scan the truck, it shows these DTCs have been set.

    [PCM] P0155 - HO2S Heater Performance Bank 2 Sensor 1 (Old) (Immature)
[PCM] P1153 - HO2S Insufficient Switching Bank 2 Sensor 1 (Old) (History) (Current) (Immature)

Is there any chance that these codes are prohibiting the PCM
from passing my Catalyst test? I ask because I don't want to
keep driving and driving if it's not going to help clear the test.
I suppose I could change them to "3 - No Error Reported" if it
will help, but I don't want to do that if it's not an issue and I
end up having to do a bunch more driving again.

    Thanks!

looks to me like you need a new o2 sensor bank 2 sensor 1.
it says that you are not switching(not a good thing)
could be other things but looks to be a bad sensor.
changing the sensor and clearing the codes should complete the test without much driving.

No, the sensor is fine. It's non-stock placement that's the issue.

I needed to make some spark timing adjustments anyways,
so I actually went ahead and disabled the bank 2 o2 codes.
We'll see if the Catalyst test will clear itself in a reasonable
    amount of time now.

Sorry to bring up an old thread.

What was the outcome for you? I have a similar issue with an '08 TBSS.

The Catalyst test did eventually complete itself, but I did not have to wait around to see how long it would take. I discovered that my truck was old enough that, based on our local emissions rules, I could have upto 2 tests incomplete and still pass the OBDII test. So that's what I did.
