Post a log before and after the switch point change. Proportional fueling drives the switching, too much or too little can cause improper switching (railing) of the o2 sensors.

Correct me if im wrong, but if I have the correct stoich AFR set, and am running in closed loop, then my AFR error should be zero, right? Otherwise I have the wrong stoich afr?

No. Your o2 sensors could be bad, your wb could be bad, the stoich you tuned to could be wrong, your switch points could be wrong, etc.

Assuming the wideband is good, the narrowbands are good, the stoich point I have picked is correct and the selected switch point (im using 450mv) is correct, then would it be true?

Even with ALL of the above mentioned are correct it is still going to be very rare for your fuel trims to be right at 0 all the time, their are still many other variables. Is this what you are asking?

Yes, but those are some big assumptions. What how big are your errors now?

STFTs are around 2-3% and AFR error is around 1-2%. I have LTFTs disabled.

I am asking more or less to make sure I understand the concept of what should be happening.

    thanks

That might as well be zero, you aren't going to get better than that.

I know that is very good but im trying to see if what I have set as stoich actually is stoich. It made sense to me that if if AFR error is zero then no matter what the trims are, i have stoich set at whatever the o2s think is stoich.

That isn't the best way to do it. There is no telling if your o2 sensors are correct, but if they are, then yes.

What would be the best way? Besides hooking up to $1500 wideband that is.

Well, I have good luck using a $3500 wideband.

Haha, I would hope so! Have you ever compared yours to some of the cheap ones (relatively) on the market most of us use?
