    Tach Setting question

I have an 2007 Silverado I have installed an aftermarket Tach on. I have wired it up, and it works. But the problem is that even when on the eight cylinder pot on the tach it reads 3000 when it is at 800. The Resolution High and Low are at 2. Will changing these correct the signal and if so, any thoughts what numbers to use? I do have the type set to crank as well.

Ok if E38 try either 15/15 for 4 cyl or 7/8 for 8 cyl output. 2/2 is providing 4x too many pulses per rev.

Just as a follow up 7's on the programming and 8cyl setting on the tach seems to be right on +/- 25 rpm compared to the scanner.

Cool. Have you set for 7/7? It needs to be 7/8. The two numbers added together need to be divisible into 60.
