Yes by using tap up tap down you can select whichever gear you want for take off.

Depends on what convertor, rear and tires you have as to how long it lasts, and whether it has been "built" or is a stocker. Circle D has a good vid on youtube re the major weak points.

i have been running 550+rwhp(mustang dyno). so far so good with quite a few runs on it. hit 635rwhp on the dyno and it sliped a little mid run. i am logging actual line pressure and at the top of 3rd gear and the top of 4th gear i am only seeing 80psi.
