Negative Spark Advance

I have a 1997 3.8 Camaro, and was looking through some of my logs. I noticed that I never have positive advance, its always negative. It will usually be like -21* to -37*. I thought that spark advance was almost always positive though. So what gives? Some one said that the 97's read funky advance readings in general, is this true?

alright, i actually just figured this out thanks to the help page.

now another question, someone told me that the ltft's are also reversed on early model v6's. is this true? and if so how do you correct it?
