Never heard of that. Later models have a new class of DTC, 'permanent', which can only be cleared by the module itself by running & passing the diagnostic tests, but the codes themselves can be set to No Error. Once a code is set and showing as Permanent, if it's set to No Error after the fact, it'll always be there. But if disabled before it can set it's just disabled.
