2007 Cobalt Cruise control enable

I did a search and nodda came up so thought I'd ask.

I might purchase a 07 Cobalt cheapo without Cruise Control. I've read that this option has to be turned on in the ECM.

I've read many post about cruise installs on these LS cobalts. Used to be a Dealer could enable them. Then GM put the stops on it.

If I'm lucky to find a steering wheel and wiring out of a wrecked one, I'll have to find someone with a tech 2 or similar to enable it in the BCM, not the ECM.
