MPVI gets really hot when logging?

I have had my interface for around 3 weeks, and i have noticed when i do any kinda of logging, or leave it plugged into the obd2 connector for five mins, It will get very hot. I used my raytech today and it said 138 degrees. Is this normal?

Can nobody tell me if their interface is doing this? I don't want to keep using mine and causing more damage to the unit if it isnt normal.

I zapped it yesterday after roughly a 6 min run and it was 138. Also had kinda a "burnt electronic" smell to it. then it quit logging. it give me error everytime i tried to log again, then I reset my config in the interface and it worked fine again, aside from the heat.

The first few times that I used mine, it smelled like "new electronics", but I haven't noticed it since then.

I haven't had it stop in the middle of logging. If I were you, I would wrap these questions up in an email to support to get a firm answer with some data/experience behind it.

email support, sounds like something might be wrong with your interface.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
