what are you talking about??
I just looked through my 1.7 and cant find what you mean...I f I knew what you were talking about...then I could tell you where to look in 2.0

i believe in the gauge portion you could hit a reset button and the peaks thing would reset...yeah i think its gone.Originally Posted by soundengineer

Could you post where these guidelines are? I should point out that EPA emission standards for “vehicle manufacturers” are stringent and we as owners must only pass a test, which is why even some heavily modified vehicles do not have trouble passing as long as they have a cat - vehicle manufacturers could never get by so easily. Just like vehicle manufacturers must contend with federal drive-by noise level regulations also, which results in the restrictive stock exhaust systems. This doesn’t prevent the owner availability to change this, as long as said vehicle can pass the state EPA test. The EPA doesn’t go after the manufacturer of a cat bypass pipe…..Originally Posted by soundengineer
I ask because I have been working on a proggy to enable this feature. I have had it working in a hacked way on f-bodies for over a year now, and would like to release it to the world for other platforms. I have streamlined the process and have a prototype proggy ready for my test, then to the end users at their own risk for testing. We are in the final stages now. It's all about the time....

That statement is incorrect, proven so by previous lawsuits. We know other companies in the industry that were not so lucky.Originally Posted by CatSkynr

In the v1.7 editor under the fuel cutoff, dfco tab. i have a "rpm stall" option just under the RPM vs BARO entry and exit buttons.Originally Posted by soundengineer
This value is the lowest rpm the pcm will stay in dfco mode regardless of what its set to in the rpm vs gear exit table
i cant find this in v2

looks like mr. rpm stall lost its way between 1.x and 2.x..
It will be in 2.0.17

I am having a problem with the new afr % error hist.
I enable the pid for error %
I configure the LC1.
all I get is 0's for the % error
yes I am shuting off closed loop
what am I missing?
More Than Zero
If you are using a user defined AUX Input that could be the problem. There was a small issue that was fixed for 2.0.17..
If you are using one of the pre-defined AUX inputs then the issue is likely a missing PID/Sensor in the table display.
We got this guy Not Sure, ...
I am using the predefined EIO input for an LC-1
I have the pid for AFR%error in the table
what else do I need?
other than to turn off closed loop.

you need to log Commanded AFR(preferrably High Resoulution) and your LC1 AFR to get AFR Error...
-Scott -
thanks
now where is that documented?
More Than Zero
unfortunately I dont see it anywhere in the help files...
but the formula for AFR Error is
AFR ERROR % = 100*(Actual AFR - Commanded AFR) / Commanded AFR
example being
Actual AFR = 13.2
Commanded AFR = 12.9
100 * (13.2-12.9)/12.9 = 2.32558 %
so as you can see by the formula you nee to log Actual AFR(in your Case the LC1 EIO Input) and Commanded AFR
we'll see if we can add that somewhere in an upcoming update
-Scott -
yea i get all of that but when the PID is labled AFR % ERROR and I have that as well as the lc1 EIO, I tend to think that all of that is built in, but my bad, by the way what is the afr error pid for then?. we might want to think about documentation on this stuff, sorry I know you guys have a lot to do it is just something for the list.
anyway and thanks

for the custom histos...you could use it for filters or a calculation of your own.Originally Posted by M_T_0

Custom PID's require you to log the data that it needs....
meaning its not really a PID..its a calculation based on other PID's...so you have to log those other PID's to get any #'s to appear on the custom PID.
Using AFR % error
you log AFR(in your case...LC1 on the EIO) and Commanded AFR
you dont have to plot those 2 in a histogram for AFR Error to work...you only need to add the AFR Error PID to the Histogram after you have added the necessary PID' to your table...
by doing this you can cut out a calculation step...
I no longer need to make 1 histogram for commanded AFR, and 1 histogram for Actual AFR....(I still do cause I like to know what data is there) and I no longer need to use an excel sheet to do a bunch of math....I just use the Custom PID in a histogram and then its a direct Cut and Paste Multiply by % (sometimes Multiply by % - half)
-Scott -
cool thanks, I did not know that the AFR % ERROR PID was not a real PID lol
More Than Zero
they did alot of the work for us, but you still have to log the things needed for the calulation pid's to work
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

yea I know but I'm the read the help file kind of guy, and I hate to ask questions and look dumb, the only problem in this case is that I cannot find the documetation in the help file that covers all of this (and it does not look like anyone else can either). anyway thanks for the heads up on the PID's that are not PID's.

IMO the help files need a lot of work. That is why I keep asking questions ;D FWIWI I think it is Better to ask and them assume you are dumb than actually make a mistake/blow up your car then prove you are for not asking
