    "Built" Transmission Tuning?

I am trying to keep my new transmission together so I am wondering if there are any do's and dont's when tuning a transmission with a shift kit? What kind of line pressure should I be shooting for? Is there a specific operating temperature? What is the best fluid/additive to use with Redline clutches?

    Transmission is a 4L65e with a pro-torque 3500 converter.

What is "built" that is pretty vague. If it built with a Transgo HD2 or some of the other kits, no tuning pressure changes are usually done.

If I understood your post correctly, you should tune the transmission only to improve shift times and torque management.
You don't need to rise line pressure because the shift kit does that (much better than tuning).

You may use Lucas for additive. A transcooler is a good idea because your 3500 TC will heat the transmission. A good transcooler will extend your transmission's life.

    Regards.

No additives are needed if you use a good name brand Dexron IV fluid.

You never said what was done to the trans.

Like mentioned, a good trans cooler is a must if you want it to last with a stall.

I have a factory trans cooler. Is that enough? At what temp is the trans too hot?
