    3-4 shift 6l80E track only...

    getting annoyed here alot...

done plenty of street passes on the n2o(issue also has happened N/A) but the 3-4 at the track seems slow and laggy for sure compared to any time on the street from a stop.

went to the track tonight and did it every damn time(did it n/a also but would say only did it 50% of the time)

all the shifts are solid besides the 3-4.. doesnt bang the limiter nothing just kinda hangs and finally shifts

i rememeber some people mentioning this before

This happens to us too. I have tired everything in my knowledge, and have read just about every thread on this trans trying to figure out the issue, and have not come up with anything.

Have you tried adjusting the shift times and shift pressures?

Same here. We upped the pressures some, and it made it worse, made the times shorter, made it worse, returned it to stock, and still had the issue, but it was a bit better.

didnt affect me as much na dueto the lower traps avg 108-109...

now when i need it to go into 4th on n2o due to mph this issue is really hurting my mph and time...i looked at the logs last night and it just hangs around 5900-6050.... the finally shifts..

on the street NOPE... not at all..

i ran 3 dig races this weekend on concrete 0-120.. not a single issue pulls great and shifts right on time no hanging up...i just know if i got it solved it would picked up atleast 1mph and drop ateast .1-.2 off the 1/4...

Same with us, we would be ready to break into the 11's NA, but with it not shifting into 4th it is killing us. I am now back to square one. I thought it might be the converter, but you are still on stock converter, right?

Good to know its not our converter then. We have the Circle D, customer is unsure if its a triple disc or single, though. We want to put a shot on the car, but I am worried for the trans, and its going to be worthless not getting into 4th at the traps. Do you have the flare issue taken care of? We have been experiencing nasty flare from time to time, almost like we have too much fluid, or not enough fluid. Not sure what the issue is, as we have done everything we can think of.

Are you sure? With the G8 I tune, we hit the shift point right before the 1000' mark, and it shifts RIGHT as we are going through the trap. It takes a good chunk of time to shift, and I am sure kills our momentum severely.

Do you have any recommendations for changes that need made? The thing I find most odd is that, though it still hesitates on the street, it hesitates about half the time it does at the track.

Yes. It's hard to pick up two tenths in the last couple hundred feet.

Good point! I think I could at least pick up .1, really. We are only trapping 109 running a 12.2, I think it is KILLING our trap speed, really.

did u actually look at the logs dave? compare the 2..do some math and come back...at the track it just hanging there at 5900-6000 rpm not gaining speed then falls into gear.

Oh, no doubt it's dragging trap speed down, but I highly doubt it is holding back a couple tenths from an ET.

Shane... don't make me slap you in the face with physics. The world just doesn't work like that.

Yeah, it doesn't work like that. I still think in my case, we are getting dragged down at least .1 sec, I mean, we aren't shifting AT ALL from before the 1000' mark to the trap.

If you're still not in 4th when you cross the trap, and are literally coasting from the 1000' to the 1320', then you MAY get a full tenth, assuming the car has the balls to pick up about 15mph in the last 320 feet.

Man, I really don't want to get into the equations of motion (which, realistically, can be simplified for this), but I just love giving Shane crap. Haha.

What have you done to the trans tune to try and fix the 3-4 shift?
