2.22 with net framework checks removed

I've got the same issue. I was going to try the install on the first page, but the link is no longer there. I have removed .NET framework 4, and tried to install nd still get the .NET 2 error so I'm still struggling with this.

had to download Orca so I could edit the MSI.

You can download 2.24 direct from your customer page. It will solve the issues you're seeing.

I was running HPT 2.23 beta on Windows 7 and it worked fine. Updated to Windows 8 a while back. Had not tried HPT for a while. When I tried to start the scanner I got the same error that has been posted (Couldn't find library MSVCR80.dll)

I then decided to be smart and reinstall it. While trying to Install I get the net 2 framework error. And I cannot install net 2 in windows 8. I do have version 2.24 downloaded. I am going to try install that but is there anything else I need to do first?

2.24 uses .net 4 and should install onto windows 8 without any issues.

I'm locking this thread.

2.24 has been released with .net 4 and is available on the customer login page. This resolves any installation issues all the way up to Windows 8 x64.
