Does HPTuners support the '97 C5? ??? I want to buy this product, but your Web site won't allow me. I'm not interested in LS1-Edit, but it seems to be my only option.

Today i received my copy of hptuners V1.6.0
I have a 97 C5 and even if it is not supported on the order page, sent Keith an Email with the VIN of your car.

Thanks Keith for your effort and support. Great folks here !

    Hi Jochen -

Did you get my PM/email? Just wondering, did you swap your PCM for a '98 model year? Reason being, I've been told '97 are not supported. How come you're able to use this great product? :huh2:

ViciousVette, i got your PM. Sorry, havent got the time to answer yet. No, i did not change the PCM to a 98. I Emailed Keith my VIN and he checked if my car was supported. As my 97 is job No. 9456 its one of the last 97 MYs, so i guess there is no difference at all to a 98 MY. I guess its just that the support has to be locked to 98 even if its a 97 . . .

The Software runs great and i did just have some minor problems at the beginning. Keith solved them within the blink of an eye, and now the programm runs without any problems. Scanning, editing, flashing works great. I bought a Seriel to USB adapter, because my computer does not have a seriel port.

If you have the chance to get a copy that supports your car, get it ! You will not regret it !

    Take care,

    Jochen

    Re: 1997 C5 Product Demand???

Jochen -- Thanks for taking the time to respond, and glad to hear things worked out great for you. At this point, looks like I'll have to resort to LS1 Edit. To say the least, I'm pretty dissapointed. I've been holding off on my purchase of LS1 Edit hoping HPTuners would support all '97 MY. According Keith's email, my only option is to swap my PCM for a '98 MY. As much as I'd like to use this product, I don't think that's very cost-effective but maybe its just me.

    Cheers,
    Steve

I too would have been very interested in this product. But I HIGHLY doubt it will fit my 97. My 97 was one of the 'first' C5's ever built!

Any chance this product will work??

    Thanks,

why not email sales like suggested?
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Yet you assumed that I was too dumb to read Chris's post above?

Normally I ask only questions after I have exhausted all my resources and respond only to questions that I have answers to.

Not a bad attitude, just need an answer to my question, not chit chat.
