Losing My T/C with simulated MAF failure.

I am using a MAF failure to rely on my ltft stft tuned VE table on my '05 GTO, however I lose my traction control when I do this. Curious to any ideas you guys may have.

You need to apply the TCS patch in the OS tab. Apply the MAF patch while you're at it. You need to do a write entire for these to take effect.

However I don't think that is the problem because I was able to use 2.22 to open up my old tune (could not open my buddy's Goat tune because it was initially saved with 2.23) and it has it there too...Can you attach a screenshot? Attached is my buddy's opened in 2.23. When I open my old tune with 2.22 it looks the same.

He's saying that the MAF and TCS patches don't exist on an '06 GTO but the '06 doesn't have an E40 PCM so I wouldn't necessarily expect it to be there. It may not suffer from it. An '05 I would expect it to be there and it seems like you're experiencing the problem the patch is meant to fix. Kind of like you have a mid year car GT.

Do you plan to stay in SD? If not I would say just live without TCS while tuning the VE. When you re-enable the MAF it won't be a problem.

Both 05 and 06 GTOs use the E40. Chances are, the people not seeing it aren't using the full view version of HP Tuners, meaning their software is restricting what they can see. I don't remember how to change that option though.

MAF patch is only needed for some early E40 OS's - GM eventually fixed their bug

    Hi guys

I did a maffless tune on a p40 ecm, just did exhaust and intake, then tune. Now the taction control is always off? I tried the patch and it made no difference??

    Any ideas??
