    hey did we make any headway with the scanner working with gen 2 stuff. 2002 viper doesn't communicate.

    Do you need the beta version to run the scanner on a Gen III?

    The scanner will only give you generic PID's , no Chrysler specific stuff. That being said, it can be useful tuning with SCT if you build your own histogram for fuel trims, or logged afr.

    this may be dumb question but I am assuming you guys have viper car types, will it work with the truck types? 2004 srt 10 ram

    and where do u get the beta?
    SRT 10 without any mods. But still hella fun too drive.
    93 fox coupe with a 427 in the works.

    As far as tuning SRT 10. Only choices are SCT race pak or a vec 3 and split second are good piggy backs systems. Have a brand new Split second for sale for N/A vehicle if interested

    I know this is a super old thread, but I have a 2002 gen 2 engine and ecm/harness and want to run it as a standalone... Any chance HPT will enable us to modify that ECM? Thanks for the help and the great product.

    I'm over a year late with this reply but it looks like they do have some support for Gen 2. I have the MPVI2+ on my 96 RT/10 and it seems to have sufficient functionality for what I need at the moment, I do wish it was able to adjust the speedo output though, and I wasn''t stuck with the beta version of the software.
