USB Device (MPVI Interface) not found, Driver software up to date, blah, blah,blah.

Help! So this is a continuation of the problem I had encountered last month, just haven'y had time to resolve.

Well I downloaded the latest Beta. With the Interface hooked up to my PC and VCM Scanner open I selected Scan>MPVI Pro Datalog. Interface now opens to the log window. It is not showing any logs.

So I guess that problem was solved.
I am now trying to download my stock tune to my G8. I opened my Editor, selected Flash>Write Calibration Only>Begin
Pop-up "Interface not found"
Tried reinstalling Drivers, "Best Driver software foryour device is already installed"
Interface has power, car voltage is good. Last time I actually did any changes on the G8 was back in the fall of '09. I'm selling the car and want to go back to the stock tune.
Tried the VCM Suite Editor Help search.
I'm still a newbie, pardon the ignorance

START> CONTROL PANEL> DEVICE MANAGER> Do you have anything with any YELLOW FLAGS. I'm guessing your missing your MPVI A/B drivers.

earch the forums for them, save them in a permanent folder (i.e. your Hp Tuners Beta folder), open device manager and update the MPVI A/B drivers.

MPVI A/B are there. I selected Update Driver for both A/B
Window says "The Best Driver software for your device is already installed, Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date"

I just tried a data log, and the interface does communicate with the car and I was able to read/ save the log to my PC.

Again tried to Write Calibration Only, Hooked interface to car and PC , window pops up: USB Device Not Recognized.
Selected Flash>Write Calibration Only>Begin, pop up: Interface Not Found

Might be a problem with the 30' USB cable I have to connect the car in the garage to my PC in the basement..........

Found problem, bad USB cable bought new gold plated, works great now, thanks for the help
