"The interface was not found or not responding."

Guys I need some help. I keep getting this message when I connect to the OBDII port.
"The interface was not found or is not responding. Verify it is connected properly and that the vehicles diagnostic port has power."
I'm running windows XP, but my laptop is reading the usb driver and mpvi is powered up when I plug it into the laptop, its the final step between the mpvi and the OBDII port is where Im having a problem.....I think.
    Any advice?
    Thanks

I just read the thread and I'm lost, why would channel A be there and not B? Seems like my problem is a little different, how do I get B?

Try right clicking on the one with the exclamation mark & go to update drivers.

If that doesn't work uninstall & install them again.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

right click on your yellow ? mark and uninstall the driver and the channel A driver. install the new drivers in that link and then plug in your interface and make sure both channels are working correct.
