New ownership of unopened HPtuners mpvi pro

So i purchased an unopened version of mvpi pro from "sloopercat" who won it as a door price at an auto event.

So im trying to register it and it wont accept the serial #, my email, his email.
im looking to get the application key and transfer of ownership to my account.

Email support if you already havent with a vcm suite infolog while connected to the interface in question and we'll get you up and running.

that's fine... but if I cannot get into my software to give you an info log because there was no application key what should I do?

And yes I did email support, they asked for an infolog also, how am I to get it without giving the software the application key on first startup?
