Can you initiate a Firmware Update?

I occationally get a Firmaware Update Failure. It says to try disconnecting the scanner from the vehicle and try it again, but it doesn't say how to actually do it. It happens automatically when I try to scan (randomly and occationally) but I can't make it happen when the car isn't hooked up. Then it just says it can't find the vehicle.

By the way, I have Firmware version 112. Is there even a newer version? Why is it doing this? My scanner is not very dependable. I even had my first write failure yesterday which left me with a no start condition. It was repaired during a reflash, though, but it was scary.

Email support with a vcm suite infolog while connected to your interface please.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I don't know how to get an infolog. If there's a sticky, I missed it. If there's not then there should be.
