Allison 6spd Auto, manual shifting control.

Is there a way to make the transmission shift into the gear I select when I select it? Right now if I select a gear, it will down shift well, but only upshifts if it is where it wants to be. I want to be able to select a gear without letting the computer think about it.

I am also curious if the manual (M) mode of the 6L80E transmission can be made to be a true manual shift.
