    Oddball Wideband Questions -HELP!

This is all on the 01 Impala.

I was looking at http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10510 and found that the cheapest wideband O2 sensor is the from: VW 2000 Beetle 1.8 turbo. , Bosch USA #17053. I didn't get a BOSCH, but a Standard brand equivalent of a SG897.

    So now a couple questions:
Does anyone have a O2 wiring diagram for a 00 Beetle 1.8 turbo, or a similar golf with the same engine?

Is this just a standard 0v to 5v wideband?

I deleted my EGR, and I've heard of wiring it into the EGR pintle position wires to ease logging on my non-pro interface. Is this at all possible for me?

And also, I've heard a few rumors getting the wideband to run as a narrowband to keep the PCM happy. Is this possible?

I've also heard with the right tune that you can get better gas mileage from running only in open loop (so no pcm O2 sensor input need) Any input on something like that?

    Thank you all!
    -Tim

    EDIT:
Found some info on the pinouts!

    That's my connector
    and also

    There's my main pinout description.

So skip my first few questions!
Just the last 3 I still need help on!
