6L80e swap into 2008 GMC sierra problems

im using my stock ecm from my 08. its already licensed.
install a 09 5.3/6spd engine harness. installed a CAR 6L80e into my truck not knowing exactly the difference. well the TCM so say is the same as the Truck. well we tried to "write entire" but the software wouldnt let me change the vin on the "stock 6.2/6spd tune" we had and we forced it in so say. it then started loading and "failed" by saying vins arent matching basically. well we tried to reinstall my stock 6.2/4spd tune i had and it wont let us install it bc it says vins dont match. it wont even let us change the vins like we need to.

now my truck wont do anything with the ecm or the tcm. we scanned it an its coming up with a completely different car. im at a lose of what to
do now any help would be GREAT!

Yeah trying to flash an 09 cal into an 08 pcm will usually fry the pcm.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Always wondered.. does it really fry the pcm or just lock it up.. can you replace the chip and it be used again? Would not do it myself but just wondered..

Usually corrupts the NVRAM, can do all sorts of weird crap when this happens.

so what do i need to do Bill? we are at the end of the ropes with this. i was going to take it to the dealer and tell them fix it lol. i guess that'd be the wrong thing to do since they dont know what to even think of the truck because i installed a 6.2 lol.

can you write me a stock tune that uses my vin but has the 6spd TCM already tuned for my truck?

does it need a segment swap like the 4l80 swap in a gmt-800? or can it just not be done?

UPDATE: the 09 to 08 ecm FRIED THE ECM. had to buy a new ECM and just used a denali vin to have them reflash it into my truck. it worked out great got a buddy to revin the truck after the dealer threw in the Denali vin. truck runs but needs exhaust so i can drive it and stuff.

hope no one else tries this!!! lol
