I ended up tapping off J1 pin 48 on the ECM, engine speed signal, and ran the wire all the way back to the PSC No resistor was required.. I mounted it in the same location where the BAP use to be. set initial voltage to 8.5, revved motor to 2500 rpms, SET TACH. gtg
I also purchased the autometer tach adaptor, but after looking at the install dir, it was talking about cutting coil wires, and this seemed easier and less destructive.
