Thread: 2 bar map sensor for BA Falcon 3V

  1. #21
is the v8 map sensor the same as the na 6 map sensor? if thats the case the turbo one needs a different plug and you just wire it back to front. so say the na map sensor is 1234 wires you just go 4321. guy who sells the knock box sells the plug and play looms which are about $30 otherwise the correct plug for the ba turbo map sensor is about $30 also.

ba turbo reads upto about 26psi also

For those playing along at home, he is completely correct.

One question for VYSSLS1, when I enable turbo logic, the map sensor is working, the car starts fine, but the reading is 12kpa flat in my logs. Do I need to enable "boost sensor" also?

no you have the sensor wired incorrect..

the wiring needs to be reversed in the plug.. BUT it still goes pin 1-1 2-2 3-3 4-4 etc.. the number 1 pin is just at opposite ends of the sensors..

Eric, so they can effectively run multi-bar OS? Pardon me for reading between the lines, but it would be awesome if we could run a true speed density setup on these Fords.

There is no VE table. It's much like the speed density calculation that the US vehicles have.
