Yes, I double checked timing with a timing light against what the computer reads.

I have the oem crankshaft from the 6.2l, with the reluctor still a This is where I took my measurements from. I found tdc#1 and basically measured the offset I needed. I can send you pictures and videos if you need. Or you can call me 6672210662. I saved blue prints to my sensor bracket as well.

I'm not saying it can't be done. If you have a good enough way to measure it, I'm sure it can be done. But pretty obvious that Daniel566 was missing a big piece of the puzzle.

It's still not starting, do you have to time the reluctant wheel to the crank position sensor?
You took the engine out of an 08 and are putting it in an 06 envoy? Or the other way around?

Only tools I used to measure angle was a protractor and a sharpie. The fact that the crank isnt keyed actually made it easier, because you can place it at any angle. Just get it close and make minor adjustments base on where you mount the CKP sensor. If I'm reading correctly, i believe his situation is the opposite of mine. In which case I would just buy the conversion harness
