i recently bought hp tuner for my 2010 camaro ss. I have had texas speed already flash my ecu for the mods i did with there hp tuner. i installed the software and then tried to read my vcm but it said security access denied and that my vcm is locked. does it have something to do with already being flashed by a diffrent scanner??? please help[/I]
They locked the tune, you need them to unlock it with the cable they locked it with, so you can read it with another.
Unlikely that they locked the tune since we don't even allow tunerlocking on 2010 Camaro's, my advice would be to send a vcm suite infolog while connected to the vehicle to support at hptuners.com as it sounds to me like our software is recognising your pcm as an LS1 style pcm rather than an E38 and simply using the wrong seed/key. Simple fix but you need to send support an infolog in this case.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
