    Tuning cammed Gen 4 automovil's...

    Waz up guys, i been searching a lot and found good info on tuning cammed gen 4 cars and trucks with big cams but have one question.

    Would they idle great if forcing them to MAF only with a big cams?

    Im new to this 4 gens cars.

    Having good luck with all the big cam cars I've done, you just have to sit down and take some time with the Airflow tables.
    Gray Ghost- The abomination. 2007 Chevrolet Silverado CCSB. 98mm turbo, nitrous, 428LSX, Rossler 80E with a brake. Finally finished. 23 psi, no numbers, Slow as hell.

    PBM G8- Aluminum 364, twin Precision 67/66 turbos, 6L90 trans swap, CTS-V/Vaporworx fuel system, slowly making progress.

    Dads 2011 CTS-V- Stock bottom end, stock heads, LS9 cam, pullies, ported blower, ported TB, D3 goodies, and lots of nitrous.
    618/618 motor
    906/862 spray

    On some vehicles there is a parameter in the DTC settings that needs to be changed so it doesn't trip a limp home mode from the increased airflow. Ask DSteck for help on which tables to modify, and on DoD VVT delete applications disable the over/under advanced cam codesand disable DoD. For the most part getting the MAF correct will take care of your problems. Other little things you may/may not have to do depending on the size of the cam is adjust the timing, airflow tables for clean starts, and make sure you don't run out of injector, besides possibly having to tweak the MAP sensor range.
