There has been a lot of questions and confusion regarding our new intergrated wide band interface.
We currently sell 1 hardware model with our VCM Suite packages. In the very near future we will be selling 2 hardware models.
VCM Suite with our current cable will still be priced as is. VCM Suite with the integrated wide band interface will be priced higher. There will also be upgrade options available to existing customers with the standard interface.
With the 1.5 software update, will you automatically be able to plug in your wide band sensor?
No. You will still need to purchase the new hardware that has provisions for wide band input.
What does the integrated interface allow me to do?
With our integrated interface, you can use 0-5v signals from various sensors such as EGT, Wide Band, fuel pressure and others for sensor input in our scanner. You will have real time data from those sensors right next to your standard scan tool data such as TPS, RPM, MPH, etc.
Can I buy a wide band sensor and simply plug it in?
No. You need a wide band kit that supplies a 0-5v output. You will plug the output from your wide band controller into our interface.
How many external devices can I have?
We have provisions for 4 external devices that use a 0-5v output signal.
I am a current customer with VCM Suite but I want the new integrated wide band interface, how do I buy it?
When our new interface is ready for sale we will have instructions for existing users on how to trade in their existing interface for an interface with external inputs.
What will the price be?
At this time we do not have pricing. Upgrades for existing users will be very affordable though.
