How fast is your HP Tuners Computer/Laptop

im using a p33 laptop with 10 megs or ram, and a 50 meg hardrive, and the thing is light, only weight 12 pounds..

im at 3ghz 1gig ram, xps dell now.
and for work i use my trusty 2.8 inspiron.

Guess I'm the bottom feeder, but HPT runs great

Desktop 1: 2.2 GHz with 382 MB ram
Desktop 2: 500 MHz P3 with 192 MB ram and 10,000 RPM Scsi HD's
Laptop: 200 MHz P1 with 96 MB ram

I was weiry about using my laptop at first but it runs great. I can't imagine it takes a lot of processing power to log some signals from the PCM. As long as I can log using my laptop and look at it on another more powerful machine then I'm fine. I use the table display when logging. Maybe give the option to turn off some features when logging if they are going to tax the CPU a lot.

Another old beater laptop, $90 plus $20 for max memory:
266 Pentium MMX 96Mb ram, runs HPtuners ok, but sometimes barfs on the chart display.

Tried HPTuners on my first garage sale laptop, a $10 486 DX2, and it works, but everything is so slow as to be useless. Heh.

What is going to be the new requirements? I've seen a lot of questions from people shopping for a laptop. I would hate to tell them something cheesy, and then they be swearing when the new version comes out.

Well, I test on a 350mhz laptop and it works.... but loading up your tables will take a second or two.

2.0 table display is very intense..

You are going to wonder where your paint brush and graident tools are.. and will then wonder how you can add layers to your table display. lol
