So ... is the 350 still gonna be OK with 2.0? What about ram size, what would you say is 'required'? 32 megs???

At this point I would say a min of 64.. It may run on 32 megs of RAM but I have not tested it yet.

I don't have HPtuners Yet, I will be ordering once I get my tax return in 2 weeks. ;D

Fallback will be to stick with 1.6
When you see all the features of 2.0 you will want to force it to run on your laptop no matter how slow it is.. 2.0 is simply amazing.

Desktop - 2.8G P4, 512M Ram
Laptop - 750M P3, 128M Ram
Note - my laptop suffers dropouts ("please wait while we re-aquire" when I try running the Scanner / Chart Display at the dyno. My friends slower laptop has a LOT more dropouts & would actually lock up when we tried to access the TCC Solenoid tab.

Im only running a 300 with 128 ram that I picked up for a 100$. All I do is log and flash with it. When I pull into my garage I just shoot it over to my desktop via wireless to look at and adjust and then shoot it back. But if I have to find a better laptop atleast I didnt spend alot of money on it. Works fine with 1.6.

I never once had a problem with my laptop dropping out or anything while using it.
Toshiba e750 pocket pc

266mhz pentium (with MMX!!!! lol)
32megs
broken CDrom drive
half the keyboard doesnt work (i use a fullsize one plugged into it)
but the price was right!lol
it connects and seems to work fine... on the read from the PCM, it sometimes drops out of high speed, but goes right back into it...
as long as the "gauges" are closed, it logs fine. if i have the gauges up, i get the occasional drop if i do somthing else.... like dragging a window or somthing... its right on the edge.
it works though, and thats what counts! ;D

I don't have any software yet.
I am waiting for the software to work with my car.
But when it does I will be using a Laptop with:
2GHz Celeron
256mb ram
1.7 centrino 512 ram and real serial port with touchscreen
Toughbook CF73
should do the job nicely.
