Questions Regarding 98 Camaro Before Purchase

    To whom this may concern...

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on tuning software for my LS3 swapped 1998 Camaro. The last stage of my swap is to determine whether or not to keep the 1998 PCM. It is my understanding that the 98's are more difficult to tune then the 99+ units, and have a much more limited range of adjustment.

If I were to re-pin my 98 harness to run the 99+ PCM, would I be able to program my body vin into the computer?

In other words, is it possible for me to have the 98 vin but run the 99+ OS?

    Thank you in advance.

No it is not, running an invalid vin pcm pair breaks our licensing.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
