Custom OS back to stock OS licensing question

Bill,

I think I know the answer, and saw a thread that was close to my question, but I will ask just to make sure.

If I have licensed a 2007 Corvette vehicle/pcm with a custom OS and VCM enhancement (4 licenses), is there a way I could go back to the stock OS without buying another 2 licenses in the same car and PCM?

Open the stock file/operating system that was originally read from the vehicle & write entire, should should not require any additional credits.

It was the 2.5 Bar SD Custom OS tuned by a previous tuner which I purchased 4 licenses to allow me to modify and reload into his car.

Have the original tuner send you the stock file from the vehicle if they still have it, otherwise you should be able to have it flashed to stock via tech 2.

OK last question, if I flash via Tech 2 to stock, will I have to purchase anymore licenses to modify, save and flash changes to the stock file?

You shouldn't so long as the tech 2 flash doesn't screw up the vcm id number in the pcm(which it shouldn't).

This is a good note for everyone tuning... SAVE THE STOCK FILE! Some go a step further and make it read only so that it can't be modified and resaved.
