    Spark advance vs. octane

I just wanted to verify something with the people here. Does the octane of your gas only give you the ability to increase timing?

Let's say that your max power was at 22 degrees at WOT on low octane gas and it was not giving any KR. Would getting higher octane change your power potential at all or would it just be a waste to even put in high octane fuel?

waste unless you increase your timing then you might add a couple horse but probably not much
