    Change VIN

Similar question to the CASE learn question, will the Change VIN work with any vehicle that is supported by HPT?
On a side note to this, will it work if the OS ID has been changed to say "0"

    Re: Change VIN

If the OS ID is 0, you will not be able to change the VIN.

A PCM with an OS id of 0 is considered corrupt by GM as by us.

John, the help files should list the requirements and capabilities of the flash VIN change method. If that doesn't answer your question we can modify the help files to be more informative.

    Re: Change VIN

Thaks for the reply Keith. The flash portion of the software was so self explanatory I never even bothered to look at the help section for it before :P
Sorry for the dumb question without checkin the help first, my mistake

I have one or two of those "0" OS ID PCM's laying around, I may give it a shot anyways. Can't hurt, right?

    Re: Change VIN

I'd just take those PCM's to a dealer to have them fixed.
