Anyone else buy a Staples USB-Serial adapter?

I figured I'd try to help eliminate a headache if I can.

I picked up a Serial to USB adapter today for my LC1. Took me a couple hours to figure out why it didn't work. I'll try the WB/LC1 again tomorrow.
