I hope someone here has experienced this also...
1. Start vehicle, idle may "hunt" a little, but stabilizes after a few mins. Now heres the problem. Moving the gear selector from park to reverse, the engine flares up to about 1500rpm, hits the torque converter, then drops dead. How is this connected with the blade position of the ETC?? Idle is programmed for 950rpm in both neutral and park. What is making it flare up to 1500 rpm before it engages reverse?!? I even moved the selector VERY slowly towards reverse from park, and it even flared up to 1500 and dropped dead before reverse ever engaged.
Going from neutral to drive does not really do it AS bad..it will drop, but hardly ever dies.
Here's the part that really has me confused. Start it up, go straight from park to drive, it will stay idling while foot on brake (not moving)..throw it in neutral, immediately dies everytime (does not flare up, just dies)..
I hope I can find some help on this in here. Any help be will GREAT!
