    sound like a plan?

sorry for asking so many questions i'm just trying to get a good understanding of tuning for boost, before i start and blow it up.

to go from n/a to boosted.
my initial tune is gonna have a PE tps enable at 30% all through the rpm's.
retard all timing to about 18 degrees
i'm going to set my PE to 11.5 at all rpms and motor temp. no adders.
    i will tune to that.
    start adding timing.
and then start pulling fuel in the lower PE (low boost) rpms until i see knock.
    i plan on running 8lbs
tell me what you pros think.

18 might be a bit much to start with as that will be pretty close to your final I think. I would suggest 15 to start and work your way up.

Sounds like a plan. Just be slow and methodical. 3.8 can make huge power in stock form, but the pistons will not tolerate knock. You should PM Slowfiero either here or on fiero forum(he does not check in here that often). He pushed his m90 3.8 farther then anyone I know. Now with the turbo its insane. From what I remember his timing maxed out at 20, which was why I suggested starting at 15.

Adjustable blow off? Run the smallest amount of boost possible to start it. Keep out of PE and nail down the cruse region as best as you can. Once you have the cruise region down, look at your scale. Use where you topped out in cruise and make adjustments to your MAF or MAP table, whatever you are running, to follow the pattern you see and carry that to the top of the table. This will actually get you really close and make it a hell of a lot safer to tune it from the start of PE through the rest of your table.
