I ve got nothing against him ... but when I read I was the only tuner in the world who can do this, it sounds like a defy !

As much as I don't like his style, or the fact that he spends his efforts trying to make stockish cars drive more radical (actually I find humor in that) it is entirely possible he's using another program like Win OLS and the factory VDFs (D@mos) to locate and modify tables we do not have access to. Which would bring me to question why can't we access these same tables? That would be a question for Chris.

Same with the upload and download process. HPtuners and EFIlive are not the only tools out there to read and write to these cars. Proprietary? Probably not. Unconventional? Quite possible.

This morning ... I've tested the differents parameters on :
    -My 99 C5 (radical H/C).
    -Corvette C5 02.
    -Corvette C6 Z06 08.

They found the parameter the too radical.
We don't drag race in europe, just road racing on track.

My C5 is too extreme (VRX5/TFS 215/3.90), the stock paramaters are the best.
My friend with the C5 tell me to go back to stock
I've made a custom tune for the Z06 guy (between the two).
I even go more radical and less.

You can do it all with hptuners. It works. I haven't fry PCM.

Commercials and forum stuff are 100% cow shit.

He advertises the use of AutoCal in doing the modification.

Once you modify the .bin using whatever, it can be read and written with whatever tool you want. It's more about access to the specific tables than the actual read and write.

I'm not defending him, just stating that it is quite possible. Regardless, it should be able to be verified using scan data. What leads me to doubt him, is the fact he said you couldn't verify it, only feel it.

Same principle as "you have to pass it to know whats in it." Just buy it and then you'll know what it feels like.

Perhaps he has/knows something that no one else but I think you may be right, its doubtful.

...already got a PM from a forum admin over there telling me to edit my post...I can't stand the "they're a paying vendor so you can't point out what is wrong with their mentality" point of view some of these forums take...I get it...they're helping you pay the bills...they're still screwing the members of the forum over.

Reminds me of what some racer said back in the 1960's "Ya want a good tuneup? Move the seat up 2 inches and install a weaker throttle spring". This just sounds like the high tech version.

I know...it's total bull...but Frost is right...some of the crap you see on that forum is just horrible...every time a new car comes out, a new forum opens up, and new newbs show up...then you get the "do a search trolls"...then you get the new newbs who think the guys like us who've been around for forever on other forums are at our first rodeo...then you get the vendors like CoW...it goes on and on and on...never ending.

I'm glad HPTuners lets us have technical discussions without caring what vendors products we discuss, and without caring if we blatantly tell each other we're wrong, and why we're wrong...since in the end it helps us all learn more...

For what it's worth, my original post did stick to facts...and didn't put him down...that forum just sucks. LS1Tech is usually pretty cool about posts as long as they're completely technical in merit...Camaro5 is really just a messy disaster though.
